Meet Deane and Christine Foote…… the main heads, hands, and "footes" of Foot Path Winery (formerly Foote Print winery). The remaining "feet", or family, are sister in law, Fran, daughters, Kelly, Taunya, and Dena, nieces, Shannon and Nichole. Winemaker Deane says, "I, hope you will enjoy our simple, no frills, down to earth atmosphere. You will always find one or more of us in the tasting room, which by the way is our metal barn. Simply stated, we are not corporate, WE ARE FAMILY".
And family is what you find here! Along with great red wines! And, you will also find luscious Certified Organic citrus and other fruits, from their Foot Path Farm (and soon new winery name, as well). And while their rustic metal barn, for a tasting room, resembles something more akin to a unique central coast boutique winery, the similarities don't end there! The quality of seven or more varietals and blends, all red, mind you, are made in small quality lots (overall annual production is only around 1,000 cases), and is another extension of the similarities, with say.... Paseo. Deane Foote has emerged, in our opinion, as one of the premier, consistent, small lot boutique wine makers of the Temecula Valley. Just try his "Red Foot" blend….. always satisfying, consistent, full bodied, and smooth. My wife, Phyllis, particularly loves their Late Harvest Zinfandel. I say just try all the wines, for you are sure to take home several!
We are also proud to note that Foote Print Winery was progressive enough to have been among our local sponsors, to our radio show, WineCountryTalkRadio(TM). Drop in on a Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or Holiday, and say "hi" to our friends, Deane & Christine (& family), from LeRoy & Phyllis at ShopTemeculaWines.com
